Georgia Pediatric Program is a Medicaid program that provides services to medically fragile children under the age of 21 in need of skilled nursing care and personal care support, in the safety of their own home. Services are approved based on the child’s medical needs, and families who are eligible for Medicaid can apply for GAPP at any time. GAPP is managed by the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH).
TMC Care Services is a state-of-Georgia provider of GAPP.
GAPP In-Home Nursing Services
Skilled nursing and personal care services provided under GAPP include:
Assistance with daily activities (Bathing, Meals, Housekeeping)
Monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
Assistance with ambulation and transfers

Is Your Child Eligible for Care Under GAPP?
GAPP is a Medicaid program for medically-qualified children under the age of 21. Children of families eligible for Medicaid can apply for GAPP at any time and must meet the same level of care necessary for admission to a hospital or skilled nursing facility. GAPP is managed by the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH).
What is the Katie Beckett Waiver?
Katie Beckett Waiver, also known as the Deeming Waiver, is a Medicaid qualifying category for children under the age of 18. The Katie Beckett Waiver considers the needs of the kid rather than the finances of the parents.If a child qualifies for the Katie Beckett Waiver, they are then eligible for Medicaid services under the standard state plan.
Getting Approved For In-Home Services
1.Meet With a TMC Care Rep
Meet with a TMC Care representative to sign the consent paperwork and gather other required information, such as letters of medical necessity from physicians, hospital discharge documents, and more.
2.Paperwork Prep
TMC Care Services
prepares and submits paperwork to GAPP. They may take up to 30 days to make a decision (approve or denial).
3.Decision Received
GAPP makes a decision and notifies TMC Care Services on the decision of the application.
4.We Contact You To Start Services
A TMC representative will contact you to schedule the start of care or to discuss the appeal process in case of denial.
